ASI SoftMove pre-stopper (ASI-VSSM)
The VSSM stopper is used in connection with a workstation. It prevents workpiece carriers (WT) from entering a workstation that already contains another workpiece carrier. Equipped with two sensors, it is able to determine when workpiece carriers are located behind the stopper and when they leave the pre-stopper position. The VSSM stopper is also used in corner stations. Workpiece carriers that have to be transferred from a transverse section back to a main belt can be brought to a halt using the rear stop plate of the workpiece carrier.
